It’s the holidays – the perfect time for those planned and impromptu gatherings. I’ve been enjoying a number of family-filled functions over the last week. Pillsbury sent me a coupon valid for a free can of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls as inspiration to make and post a fabulous recipe. Never wanting to be stuck without a quick snack to have available for a guest, or something to bring to a party, I decided to check out the Serious Eats and Pillsbury sites to find some easy-to-make and delicious recipes!

The kids are a bit stir crazy with no school for nearly 2 weeks and I’m generally short on time, so I found a great recipe that I knew would be a hit – Apple Pie Crescents. With a prep time of only 10 minutes, 5 ingredients and about 20 minutes to bake, this Apple Pie Crescent is a delight to prepare and eat!

1 small apple, peeled, cored, cut into 8 (1/2-inch) slices (I used a Gala apple)
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon apple pie spice

Step 1:  Heat oven to 375°F. Line cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper. Set aside.
Step 2:  In small bowl, toss apple slices in melted butter; set aside. Separate dough into 8 triangles.
Step 3:  In small bowl, mix brown sugar and apple pie spice. Divide mixture evenly among triangles. Top each triangle with apple slice.
