After School Snacking with Cbear #HotPocketSnacks

Recently, one of my most fabulous days with my picky eater, Cbear, was the day he decided to be a big boy and try out pizza. Seriously. Life. Changing. I’m used to serving a different meal (and snack) for nearly every member at our table – it’s exhausting!

I then had one of those rare afternoons last week where the boys were napping and my husband was working from home. I took that time to make my way over to Walmart to grab a few staples and check out the Hot Pockets snack selection.  Hot Pockets can been found in the frozen aisle at Walmart, which was located very close to the baby section so of course I was a bit distracted! I couldn’t resist picking up a few varieties during my shopping trip. There are so many more options then I recall from my own after school snacking!

I now have another snack alternative that at least 3 of the 4 of us can enjoy (Bbear is still ultra picky). Cbear doesn’t start preschool until mid-September and, for the time being, still takes a short nap in the afternoon. Often our lunches are fast and furious so I can make sure my boys have a little time to digest before naptime begins. This also means that after-nap snacks need to be easy as well so that they don’t overeat and ruin dinnertime. Even though Cbear’s school year hasn’t begun yet, it doesn’t mean we can’t get in the habit of having a the after-school snack of #HotPocketSnacks now. In fact, it’s even the perfect size for Cbear as a quick lunch!

He was a little uncertain when he took said first bite, but…

 … he really enjoyed it and cleared his plate!

My husband also has been studying for a certification test for work. Hours upon hours of studying can certainly make a stomach growl! This weekend, he stopped long enough to have his lunch, but couldn’t resist adding the Philly Cheese Steak Hot Pocket as an after-lunch snack.

I enjoyed the Hot Pocket Snackers in Nacho Cheese. YUM!

I’m also looking forward to having a quick snack handy for those long days when Baby Girl Bear is nursing all the time and yet seemingly never sleeping (yep, we still can’t figure out a name, so why not go with what the boys have named her). Hopefully she will not take after her brothers in those areas, but if she does it’s nice to know that I can prepare an easy snack for my family!
