Blogger Beach Bash at the Avalon Golden Inn

I grew up going to the shore each summer. We were so fortunate that my grandparents own a home in Cape May just blocks from the beach. I remember hitting the beach each year with my family, and sometimes other relatives – it was fabulous!

But now, I also realize I have never really visited any of the other shore points along the coast. This week, I had the opportunity to attend a Blogger Beach Bash at the Avalon Golden Inn. We walked into the hotel to make our way to brunch and the lobby was so lovely that Cbear asked if “this is a church?”.

One of the highlights of the day was watching Sandmaster Matt sculpt the sand into a beautiful sand castle. We’re still working on Cbear and Bbear not being hulk-like smashers whenever they see a sand castle, so we stayed just a little out of the line of fire! The boys LOVED getting their big Can You Dig It buckets and tools so that they too could make gorgeous castles.

Bbear worked up a thirst and loved drinking his Bai Drink like a big boy!

And then we enjoyed a great lunch! I think Cbear nearly swallowed his hotdog whole – he was jumping waves for a good hour before lunch.

And Bbear thoroughly enjoyed his treat after lunch – a cupcake from Truly Custom Cakery.
