Last year was Cbear’s first year at preschool and my first year sending him into somebody else’s care. To say my nerves were a bit frayed is an understatement. Then my neighbor found a local preschool that is not only a preschool, but a co-op. What does that mean? To keep costs down, parents volunteer to be a room parent about once every 5 weeks. That’s one day that I get to go in and Cbear gets to be the Special Helper for the day. It was really a win-win for me (though Cbear went running into that classroom on the first day of school so I don’t think he would have cared if I hadn’t been a room mom all year)!
I mentioned keeping costs down. As a family with one primary income, we are always looking to make sure we keep every penny we can. Our co-op preschool is a major way we do this. I’d estimate that we save about 25% in tuition over the school year. I’m hoping to help keep tuition costs reasonable by donating some of the much needed quality school supplies.

One place to find reasonably priced back-to-school (and other) necessities is at Walmart. Even though it’s only July, they have a great section dedicated to back-to-school items already set up. We set out to get a few items that we needed for my little bears, but also to create a #BagItForward School Supply kit for our preschool. With Elmer’s glue sticks and crayons as low as .50 cents, it’s easy to pick up a few extra items for a donation to children, or an organization, in need without breaking the budget. You can visit my Google+ album to check out our entire shopping experience.
You certainly can’t miss the Back-to-School section with a sign like this:

Our school goes through so much Elmer’s glue! Such a great buy!

And for the preschool crowd, these disappearing purple glue sticks from Elmer’s are so key!

We found such great, quality back-to-school deals at Walmart. This is what I was able to pick up to donate to our preschool!
We packed everything into a reusable tote so that we could easily deliver it to Cbear’s school.

Cbear hasn’t been back to school since his camp ended the 1st of June. I think he’s really ready to visit this place on a regular basis again! We packed up the school supplies for delivery at his school.
