Stir Crazy and a Bouncy House

What is with this weather? One day it’s 60 degrees out, the next the wind chill has it down to 13. Three inches of snow on Saturday, rain yesterday and now sunny today and most of the snow is gone. We have a marshy mess of a lawn, and the kids would so rather be outside walking the block. But, we’ve spent a good number of days indoors.

This morning, I had two little boys running circles around the house at 8:15am. YES, 8:15am! We had no where to go today, but I had someone coming to the house around 11am which meant we were housebound yet again. We had already played with flash cards (matching lower and upper case letters) and played with the new Chuggington tracks. Clearly these boys needed to be active.

So, what is a mom to do? Well, this one (courtesy of her little brother) had a bounce house that was just begging to be used for the first time.

I waited until the sun was up for a bit just to heat up the sun-room. Even on 30 degree days, as long as the sun is out that sun-room is a comfortable place for the kids to play. Around 9:30 we opened up the boxes and began our set up. This was a great idea.

They loved it.

The bounce house we have is a smaller one, just perfect for maybe 2 kids Cbear’s age and possibly 1 Bbear child as well. The boys were in a bouncy heaven. Thanks Uncle C – you may have saved my sanity today!!!
